1. Brief Introduction
In order to help college students to understand their career development direction and to be more goal-orientated and motivated, the MOE developed UCAN. It combines career exploration and competence diagnosis, closely aligned to the needs of industry so to increase students’ understanding of marketplace trends. Moreover, through self-diagnosis, they may learn to strengthen their shortcomings to increase their competitiveness.
2. Purpose of the test
Help students to understand their occupational interests, to plan their personal career development, to learn their shortcomings, and to plan projects that nurture needed abilities.
3. Test method
The functions include Career Inquiry, Career Interest Survey, General Competency Assessment and Professional Competency Assessment, and Ability-Nurturing Project Planning. MCU students can log in to the Student Information System to use this network. Individual and class-based competence assessments are all available. Students are welcome to complete all other functions online.
(1) Individual assessment: The result will be linked to the Student Information System; students are allowed to check the result through login to the website. You can also register with a counselor to analyze your test results.
(2) Class-based assessment: You can register for the assessment and a counselor as a class unit.
